EATA Announces Robert O'Malley's Induction into the Elite '49 Club Hall of Fame
Boston, Mass. – January 10, 2026 – The Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA) Board of Directors is honored to announce the induction of Robert O'Malley into the prestigious EATA Hall of Fame, officially designated as the ’49 Club. This distinguished recognition acknowledges Mr. O'Malley’s exemplary commitment, leadership, involvement, and steadfast support of the EATA and the athletic training profession.

The ’49 Club was established to celebrate illustrious members whose contributions to the Association have been significant, substantial, and enduring. Induction into the ’49 Club recognizes athletic trainers who genuinely embody the mission of EATA through noteworthy and sustained contributions that enhance the quality of healthcare provided by athletic trainers and advance the profession as a whole.
Robert O'Malley joins an elite cohort of individuals who have profoundly influenced the athletic training profession through their exceptional accomplishments and dedication to service, leadership, and professionalism.
