Technology
Cazenovia received a $10,000 grant this year from PLTW in partnership with Lockheed Martin to help us expand our engineering offerings and support the program in the future!
Within our engineering program, students can take courses for college credit and earn up to 15 credits through the Rochester Institute of Technology. They can also earn AP credit through our AP Computer Science course and earn high school credits through independent study courses. As one of the oldest PLTW schools in the nation, Cazenovia has access to curriculum and training for teachers to offer students project-based learning in various engineering fields. Our high school currently offers five courses in the PLTW Engineering Pathway, some on a rotating basis: Introduction to Engineering Design (also known as Design and Drawing for Production), Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics and Civil Engineering and Architecture which is a new offering for Caz in the 2024-25 school year.
