Academic Decathlon Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser Coming Up on January 11

The Cazenovia High School Academic Decathlon team will host its third annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on January 11th in the high school cafeteria. The dinner will take place from 5:00 to 6:00, prior to High School Curriculum Night. Families are encouraged to come out, support the team, and take the night off from cooking at home. A takeout option will be available for anyone on the go.

Academic Decathlon is a competition in which students test their knowledge of a common theme against other schools. The theme for 2023 is The American Revolution. The students receive approximately 950 pages of study material in May, and have until March of the following year to master it. They must also prepare a four-minute speech, and participate in an interview. This year's team consists of nine students in grades 9-12. 

Spaghetti Dinner tickets are $10 per person or $40 per family, and may be purchased at the door or online at tinyurl.com/cazad2023. Anyone wishing to support the team but unable to attend the dinner may donate at the same link. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for study materials and travel costs.
